ARCADIA, Calif. (KABC) -- For the second year in a row, at least one student from Arcadia High School's 2017 graduating class will be headed to each of the eight Ivy League Universities in the country. Full story here.
Arcadia High Students Accepted Into Every Ivy League University for Second Straight Year!
For the second straight year, the graduating class from Arcadia High School has at least one student accepted into every Ivy League University in the country. Stanley Yu, who will be attending Columbia University in the fall, has been named the Class Valedictorian. Read more here.

Chromebooks for the Summer Grades 6-11!

Students in grades 6-12 have been assigned devices for use in school and at home through the school year. After considering all options, we are excited to let you know that we will
not collect the Chromebooks from students in grades 6-11 at the end of the school year! Read more here.
ABC7 Arcadia High School students volunteer to play taps at Field of Honor

A nice story from ABC7 about one of our students, Ian Howe a junior at Arcadia High, working with the Arcadia Rotary to honor our veterans, current military, law enforcement, firefighters, and community members. Arcadia Unified Doubles Taxpayers Savings to $80 Million
It was only a couple of months ago that the Arcadia Unified School District announced a bond refinance plan that would result in an estimated $40 million in savings to Arcadia taxpayers. 25 Arcadia High Students Named National Merit Scholarship Finalists
Arcadia High School made another exceptional showing in this year’s National Merit Scholarship Program, with 25 Apaches named as National Merit Scholarship Finalists. This is the 24th consecutive year that Arcadia High School has had over 85 percent of its students advance from semifinalists to finalists in this renowned program. Read more here.
Arcadia Unified Digital Communications Interns Receive Statewide Recognition
 
A group of talented Arcadia High School students is honored with a prestigious communications award that is typically reserved for seasoned public relations professionals. The Arcadia Unified School District and its Digital Communications Internship (DCI) program were recently honored by the California School Public Relations Association (CalSPRA) at its annual awards dinner held in Sacramento. Arcadia Unified Saves Taxpayers Over $40 million by Bond Refinancing

Arcadia Unified School District’s Board of Education voted unanimously at its February 28 meeting on a resolution that will save Arcadia taxpayers over $40 million. The savings will come by way of refinancing bonds that were obtained through the Measure I, Facilities Bond. Read more here.

Arcadia High School has been named among the top 2 percent of high schools in all of California! According to Niche’s 2017 Best Public High Schools list, Arcadia High School is number 30 out of the more than 1,300 public high schools in the state. Read the full story here.
2017 TK and Kindergarten Registration Dates and Information
Arcadia High Marches in 128th Rose Parade!

This was the 16th time the Apaches have marched in the prestigious Rose Parade. The Arcadia High Band has also marched in two Presidential Inaugural Parades (1957 Dwight Eisenhower, 2005 George W. Bush). The band also performed at the very first Super Bowl in 1967, in the 1981 World Series, the Gator Bowl, Alamo Bowl, was featured in an NFL Super Bowl commercial last year, and has won countless field show competitions. Congrats Apaches! 
Arcadia Unified Named to College Board’s Prestigious AP® District Honor Roll!
The Arcadia Unified School District is one of just 22 school districts in California being honored by the College Board with placement on the 7th Annual AP® District Honor Roll. Read more.
AUSD Kindergarten Coders Featured on ABC7!

Hundreds of students throughout the entire Arcadia Unified School District are participating in the global Hour of Code movement where they are taught about computer science and coding. There are even many Kindergarten classes in the Arcadia Unified School District, including Ms. Pinto's at Holly Avenue Elementary School, where students as young as 5 years old are learning to code.
Arcadia Unified Gives Every Student a Chromebook

Each of the nearly 10,000 students in the Arcadia Unified School District now has their own Chromebook. All middle school and high school students can even bring their Chromebooks home to use. The 1:1 Student to Technology device program began three years and was fully implemented on the first day of school this year.
27 Arcadia High Students Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists!
A remarkable 27 students from Arcadia High School have been named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists. This prestigious recognition represents less than one percent of high school seniors in the United States. Read more here.
Arcadia Unified Test Scores Among Highest in So. Cal
Arcadia Unified students continue to score among the highest in Southern California, and far exceeded the state average, according to new statewide test results released by the California Department of Education on August 24, 2016. Arcadia scored 40% higher than the state average for math, and 26% higher in English language arts/literacy (ELA). Read more here.
