Arcadia Unified Hosting Arcadia Innovation Summit
A unique opportunity for Southern California educators is coming to Arcadia on June 24. The Arcadia Unified School District is hosting the first Arcadia Innovation Summit, which will be free of charge and open to all. The mission of the summit is to explore and share innovative practices in education.
Sessions will focus on three main areas: the Google Ecosystem (using Chromebooks, Google Apps for Education, and Third Party Applications), teaching in a 1:1 classroom, and other innovative teaching practices like Genius Hour and Makerspace.
“We have a strong belief that lessons, content, and innovative instruction should be shared, free of charge, and done in a collaborative environment whenever possible, to benefit as many students and educators as possible,” said Arcadia Unified School District Superintendent David Vannasdall. “We are excited to share and learn best practices with forward-thinking leaders in education.”
The Arcadia Innovation Summit will begin with the keynote address inside the state-of-the-art Arcadia Performing Arts Center, and all sessions will be held on the newly renovated Arcadia High School campus. Registration is required to attend, and will be limited on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parking, lunch, and WiFi will also be provided free of charge. For additional information and to register you can visit www.ArcadiaInnovationSummit.com. You can also follow the Arcadia Unified Twitter and Facebook Event pages for updated information. The official hashtag for the summit is #ArcadiaInnovation.
